本工作室在美国为志同道合的作者提供便捷的书籍合作出版服务。仅收取少量费用。

出版流程

  1. 作者发送文稿样章至工作室邮箱，经审核符合品味、标准，方可签署出版协议。
  2. 作者提交文稿全文、作者简介、内容摘要及其他元数据。
  3. 工作室可进行简单图文排版及封面设计，也可聘请第三方进行专业封面设计。
    • 简单封面设计不收费。专业封面设计为付费服务。
  4. 工作室分配书号，并登记相关记录。作者承担购我社购买书号产生的费用。
  5. 生成书籍电子文件，并交由“按需印刷”机构进行打样。
    • 此步骤需收取：单本书的印刷、快递费用。
    • 每次需要 1-2 周时间。
  6. 如作者认可打样效果，可批准并启动书籍的全球发行；否则返回上一步重新修改。
    • 图书打样批准约一周后，会陆续登录美国及全球各国的网上书店，包括 Amazon、Barnes & Noble 等，但不含中国大陆书店。

注意事项

  1. 文责自负。文本请提前校对。如出版后发现错误，可在 60 天内免费再版。
  2. 美国国会图书馆现不支持中文书籍申请 Library of Congress Control Number (LCCN)。
  3. 国际书号 (ISBN) 以本社 (Xi Shi Du Liu Studio) 名义登记；作者也可自行提供。
  4. 本工作室不提供向 U.S. Copyright Office 申请著作权登记的法律建议。如有需要，作者应咨询著作权律师。
  5. 可同时出版平装书、精装书、电子书。在 Amazon Kindle 平台的电子书不支持简体中文。
  6. 出版的图书卖一本、印一本，除应作者要求多印之外，维持零库存、低成本运营。销售利润工作室与作者按约定比例分成。作者需承担因买家退书产生的费用。
  7. 本工作室出版之图书不发行至中国大陆。中国境外图书未经海关进口手续，不能合法在中国大陆境内销售。

Publication Service offered by Xi Shi Du Liu Studio

Our Studio offers convenient collaborative book publishing services in the United States for like-minded authors, at a nominal fee.

Publishing Process

  1. The author sends a sample chapter to the Studio via email. After review to ensure it meets our taste and standards, a publishing agreement can be signed.
  2. The author submits the full manuscript, author biography, content summary, and other metadata.
  3. The Studio offers basic formatting and book cover design services. Alternatively, the author can hire a third party for professional book cover design.
    • Basic book cover design is free of charge. Professional book cover design is a paid service.
  4. The Studio assigns an ISBN and submits the records.
    • The author bears the cost incurred by our agency in purchasing ISBNs.
  5. An electronic file of the book is generated and sent to a Print-on-Demand agency for print proofing.
    • This step incurs the cost of printing of a single book and shipping.
    • Each iteration takes 1-2 weeks.
  6. If the author approves the print proof, we will initiate global distribution of the book; otherwise, go back to the previous step for revisions.
    • About a week after approving the proof, the title will be listed for sale in online bookstores in the United States and globally, including Amazon and Barnes & Noble, but excluding mainland China bookstores.

Important Notes

  1. Authors are ultimately responsible for the contents. Please proofread your text in advance. If errors are found after publishing, a free revision is available within 60 days.
  2. The Library of Congress does not process the application for a Library of Congress Control Number (LCCN) for books in Chinese language.
  3. The International Standard Book Number (ISBN) will be registered in the name of this publisher (Xi Shi Du Liu Studio). Authors may also provide their own ISBNs if available from their country’s ISBN agency.
  4. The Studio does not offer legal advice for registering copyrights with the U.S. Copyright Office. Authors should consult a copyright attorney, if desired.
  5. We offer simultaneous publishing for paperback, hardcover, and e-books. Note that Amazon Kindle does not support Simplified Chinese for eBooks.
  6. Books are published and printed on a Print-on-Demand basis, maintaining zero inventory and low operational costs, unless the author requests additional print runs. Sales profits are shared between the Studio and the author according to a predetermined ratio. Authors are responsible for costs incurred due to customer returns.
  7. Books published by this Studio are not distributed to mainland China. Books outside of China that have not gone through customs procedures for import cannot be legally sold within mainland China.
